Boxley and Spade Earn All Academic Honors

Tuesday, February 12 -- The Northwest Athletic Association of Community Colleges announced the 2012-13 All Academic Basketball teams on Monday. Earning a spot on the team are Edmonds Community College athletes Mary Boxley and Jacob Spade. All Academic honors are reserved for sophomore eligible student-athletes who have a minimum of 36 credits earned and at least a 3.25 grade point average.

Boxley, a sophomore forward from Mountlake Terrace HS, has a 3.41 cumulative GPA, fifth-best in the NWAACC. She is a two-year participant on the EdCC women’s basketball team. Spade is another local product who has also played two seasons of Triton basketball. The sophomore forward graduated from Meadowdale HS and has a 3.31 GPA to his credit at Edmonds CC.
