uLearn C804: Cooking Essentials

What does it take to be an excellent cook? Knowledge. Cooking is built on some few crucial concepts that all cuisines share. This class will introduce you to some of the most important. We will explore, in a hands-on environment, the lynchpins of modern cooking. Each class will organize around one evening’s menu. Each menu will focus on some element of essential technique: knife skills; stocks, soups and sauces; grilling, roasting and sautéing; seafood cookery; and eggs and breakfast. Cost of food included in class fee.
