Anthropology
What is Anthropology?
Anthropology is the holistic approach to the study of humans. We combine methods, theories, and data from natural sciences, social sciences, and humanities to examine human experience in the broadest framework possible. Our courses explore human biology, origins, prehistory, cultural diversity, and religious experience. Students in anthropology courses acquire basic skills in critical thinking, oral and written communication, quantitative reasoning, group interaction, cultural diversity, and technology.
How Can an Anthropology Degree Help You?
Our holistic approach combined with a rise in a multicultural workforce in the United States and around the world has turned anthropology into a highly desirable degree in the job market. College graduates with anthropology degrees pursue careers in a wide variety of fields that include but are not limited to medicine, marketing, social work, nonprofit, government, development, international relations, primatology, forensics, and cultural and environmental resource management.
