As the Eco Encore Project Coordinator, for my second and last time, this makes me smile with pride:
I simply can’t hold it in any longer…
Our students raised $16,000 worth of donations, for Fall Quarter!
(Jenna does her happy dance, complete with headstand and aerial backflip.)
I am inspired and bursting with admiration for our Service Learning students, from Tom Murphy’s, Rich Sheibley’s, Kim Kornbacher’s, Holly Hughes’, and Tony Tessandori’s classes!
They are all winners, in my book.
But as far as the project is concerned, Rich Sheibly’s Photosynthesis group: Sue Hart, Rita Kapetansky, Donna Carpe, and Andrea Akiyama are our grand prize winners! Congratulations, guys! They raised over $4500 for Eco Encore just between the four of them, and deserve a heartfelt kudos from everyone who reads this blog entry.
Eco Encore’s most generous repeat contributor
There are oodles of prizes to choose from, and I hope that you guys enjoy your earnings. Thank you, Sue, Rita, Donna, and Andrea.
Multiple groups went over the $500 mark, (including my own humble PDG group from Tony’s class, we raised $1200), and all second-tier winners are entitled to gifts, too. I’m probably going to run through my Starbucks giftcard pretty quickly, knowing me.
If this is the first blog that you’ve read about the Eco Encore project at Edmonds (my baby!), why not check out the print article that I wrote? Here:
