View “After Innocence,” the dramatic and compelling story of the exonerated - innocent men wrongfully imprisoned for decades and then released after DNA evidence proved their innocence. The film focuses on the gripping story of seven men and their emotional journey back into society and efforts to rebuild their lives. Included are a police officer, an army sergeant and a young father sent to prison and even death row for decades for crimes they did not commit.

DETAILS:

1. Please fill out conference registration form & scholarship form:
a. Forms can be found at http://www.edcc.edu/equity/conference/
b. On both forms write “VOLUNTEER”
a. Registration Form: “Special Accommodations” & cross out “fee.”
b. Scholarship Form: write “VOLUNTEER” & answer the question “Why are you volunteering?” (Short answer).
c. Turn in both forms to the Equity & Diversity Center

2. TIMES for conference:
- Friday, 5:00pm-8:00pm REGISTRATION & SET-UP
- Saturday, 8:30pm-6:00p CONFERENCE

3. YOUR ARRIVAL FOR BOTH DAYS: You should arrive 30 minutes before conference begins

4. MANDATORY VOLUNTEER ORIENTATION:
a. Tuesday, March 7, 3:00 p.m. to 3:30pm at the Equity & Diversity Center Conference Room in TUB 132.
b. If you cannot make it, please call the Equity & Diversity Center to talk to Shirley Sutton or Dee Wallace.
c. This will be an overview of the event & assigning of duties.

5. Please review THE VOLUNTEER LIST for corrections
a. Make sure your name is spelled correctly. This will be on your nametag.
b. Make sure the information is correct (i.e. Dates & Times, affiliation besides AmeriCorps, special accommodations, etc.)
c. If you are on the list, people will be expecting you there at the times you indicated
d. If there are people you know that still want to volunteer, please inform them about the information above & to sign up at the Equity & Diversity Center.
e. You are free to participate in the conference at various times, please ask committee about details.
f. If I forgot to mark someone down, please inform me or send them this email
g. Attached, you will find this form and a black volunteer sign up sheet that you can use in your office to help spread the word and deliver back to Equity & Diversity Center.
