Free Tax Prep and E-File at Edmonds Community College
IRS certified accounting volunteers will prepare and e-file income tax returns for US citizens and residents starting February 9, 2010 in Mountlake Terrace Hall room 212.
This confidential tax preparation will be offered on a drop-in basis at Edmonds Community College’s Volunteer Income Tax Assistance site established through the Internal Revenue Service.
February and March dates:
3:00-5:30 p.m., Tuesdays and Thursdays, Feb 9 -March 11
1:00-5:30 p.m., Fridays and Saturdays, Feb 12, 19, 20, 26, and March 5
April dates:
3:00-5:30 p.m., Tuesdays and Thursdays, April 6, 8 and 13
1:00-5:30 p.m., Fridays and Saturdays, April 9 and 10
No tax preparation will be done during spring break March 12 - April 5, 2010.
Call 425-640-1874 to make an appointment to speak with a volunteer in Vietnamese, Russian, Ukrainian, Chinese, Indonesian, or Japanese.
You will need to bring: a copy of last year's tax return (if available), picture ID, social security cards for all family members, W-2 forms, 1099 and 1098 forms, unemployment compensation statements, child care expenses (including provider name, address and employer number), information for college expenses and a list of other income and expenses. Tax forms will be provided.
To qualify for help from VITA, the taxpayer cannot have any of the following:
No Income from:
Rental property

Partnerships
-
Estates or trusts
-
Farms
-
Sale of stocks
-
Self-employed merchandisers
-
Self-employed businesses that depreciate property
No Deductions from:
