I enjoy working with international students. In many ways, I can relate to their experiences of living in another country as I also moved here from the Philippines where I was born and raised. Being a part of ISS is very enriching mainly because of the opportunity to meet people from different cultural background and learn more about our differences and similarities. I look forward to welcoming you at Edmonds Community College!” |

| "I grew up in North Carolina and moved to Lynnwood in May of 2009 to work at Edmonds Community College. When I was in college, I had the opportunity to study in Italy and England. After college I lived and worked in New Zealand. Spending time abroad not only helped me learn about other cultures, it taught me a lot about myself and my place in the world community. I am excited to play a part in helping international students have similar experiences. I work with several community colleges in Washington state to implement a grant program sponsored by the U.S Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs." |

"As the Assistant Coordinator of the Northwest Community College Initiative (NWCCI), I manage the program's social media and communication activities. In addition to developing an NWCCI blog and writing the student newsletter, I give workshops and work with students on topics such as journaling, professionalism, social media and internship searches. I was born in Idaho and went to college at Seattle University. My background is as a writer and editor, and I have also spent several years working in higher education as a researcher and faculty member. I have studied abroad twice myself, in the Netherlands as junior in college and then again in Sweden as a Fulbright scholar. When I'm not working, I enjoy outdoor activities that require a wet suit, such as white water rafting and surfing". |
