The BFET application consists of four documents. Print out these pages, answer the questions, have the Academic Plan completed by Advising and return all four to the BFET office in the Gateway Hall. Office hours:  8 a.m.-4 p.m., weekdays 

You can also fax them to 425.640.1496 – please put your name on each page.

If you are eligible for BFET, we will contact you to set up an intake appointment once your application forms are received. Intake appointments usually begin about 30 days before the start of the quarter. If your application is incomplete or not approved, we will notify you in writing.

If you need childcare: There is currently no wait list for Working Connections Childcare. Your needs will be discussed at your intake appointment.

Application checklist

  • Apply for admission to Edmonds Community College and take the Accuplacer test. BFET can help pay for your admission and testing fees. Ask for a fee waiver from BFET. Call 425.640.1727.
  • Choose an approved program. See the Eligible Certificate Programs.
  • Make an appointment to meet with an advisor. Have your advisor complete and sign your BFET Academic Planning Sheet and register for classes.
  • Complete your 2013-14 federal financial aid application — FAFSA and complete your file with Student Financial Services at the college. BFET will not process your application without a completed financial aid file. Complete your file even if the deadline has passed.
